The booking becomes binding for the guest/customer/booker once the stipulated registration fee or the full amount of the booking has been paid. At the same time, the booker accepts all of the terms and conditions set out herein. The booker is responsible for ensuring that the booking conditions are fulfilled. For Sudersand Resort AB, the booking becomes binding 5 days after the registration fee or the full amount has been received by us, unless we notify the booker before the end of this period that we do not wish to be bound.
The registration fee amounts to 20% of the total amount (only applicable for invoice payments). The fee must reach us no later than the date stated on the booking confirmation. The remaining balance must reach us no later than 40 days before arrival. For amounts under SEK 500 and for bookings made later than 40 days before arrival, the total price must be paid at the time of booking. We will send one (1) invoice/confirmation in connection with the booking, which applies to both the registration fee and the final payment. A booking fee of SEK 50 will be added for bookings made by phone or email; if you request payment by invoice for an online booking, an invoice fee will be added. If you wish to add or remove cancellation protection, you must contact us to amend the booking BEFORE you pay the registration fee.
We do not refund the cost of cancellation protection or the booking fee.
A payment confirmation (for invoice payments), confirming that we have received the funds, will be sent by email. If the registration fee has not reached us within 5 days after the due date, we are entitled to cancel the booking. In the event of non-payment, we will attempt to contact you once (1) by email in the form of a reminder. Cancellation will take place 3 days after the reminder email has been sent if we do not receive any response from the guest. The guest is responsible for ensuring that the contact details are correct.
If NO cancellation protection has been purchased or if it is invalid, the following applies:
Sudersand Resort is entitled to charge the agreed amount that has not been paid.
The cancellation periods described in bullet points above can be avoided by taking out a cancellation protection.
*The agreed amount refers to the total price of the booking, excluding any fees (booking fee, invoice fee, etc.) and cancellation protection.
Additions to a booking (extended stay period, bed linen, etc.) can of course be made at no extra cost. Transfer* of a booking is permitted up to 48 hours before arrival, subject to a transfer fee of SEK 500 per booking and occasion. Please note that any change to the arrival or departure date is considered a cancellation.
We kindly ask that the guest listed on the reservation is also the one who checks in – please bring ID.
In the case of a “hidden” transfer**, a fee of SEK 1,000 will be charged to the guest who checks in.
Subletting or transferring accommodation for a higher fee than what the guest has paid is of course not permitted. If there is any suspicion of this, Sudersand Resort has the right to refuse such a transfer.
*The practical execution of the transfer is carried out as follows: the new guest makes the payment to us at Sudersand Resort as usual, and once we have received the funds, a refund (minus fees) is issued to the transferring guest.
**A concealed transfer is when a reservation is sold to another guest without changing the name on the booking. We do NOT accept this for several reasons, including that we do not want to see reservations being resold at inflated prices and that we are committed to protecting the safety of our guests.
Payment is made by card or invoice. Bookings made within 28 days of arrival can only be paid by card in the online booking system. If we handle the booking manually, we will send you a payment link where you pay by card.
Card: We accept Visa and Mastercard. We do not apply any additional fees when you pay by card, and all card data is handled securely by our payment gateway DIBS by Nets, which is PCI-DSS certified. The full amount of the booking is paid immediately when choosing card payment in the online booking.
Invoice: At the time of booking, an invoice is sent, primarily by email and secondarily by regular post. The customer is therefore required to have provided valid contact details. An invoicing fee is added when choosing payment by invoice. Invoice payment cannot be selected within 14 days prior to arrival.
The booking amount is divided into a booking fee (20%) and a final payment (80%), and is paid according to the dates specified on the invoice.
Refund: is made via bank transfer. It may take up to one week before the refund is processed.
Technical issues may occur with pricing in the online booking system, for example when booking an item across week boundaries with different prices – we therefore reserve the right for any errors that the online booking may display. The prices shown on the individual property pages are always the ones that apply at the time of booking. We reserve the right to correct invoices before they are sent out after the guest has made their booking. If the guest does not wish to keep their booking due to this, they may cancel free of charge up to 5 days after the time of booking.
At Sudersand Resort, we refer to our general terms and conditions, under which your booking does not become binding on our part until 5 days after the registration fee or the full amount has been received by us.
In the Sudersand area, many businesses work closely together in a small space so that everyone visiting Fårö can enjoy the best possible holiday. The restaurants may host live music performances and the beach can be used for various events. Because this is a relatively small area, we must all work together to ensure that visitors to Sudersand Resort and other facilities are disturbed as little as possible.
Sudersand is generally a quiet place but, as mentioned, there are occasionally events or musical performances held here.
For us at Sudersand Resort, it’s important to strike a balance between running a facility for our own guests while also keeping the area open to external visitors, due to access to public and municipal spaces.
With this we just want to let you know, as mentioned, that things can get a bit lively on Fårö at times, but for the most part this is a really calm and wonderful place to be!
*Force Majeure
If the trip cannot be carried out due to an obstacle beyond the organizer’s control, which the organizer could not reasonably have been expected to foresee when the agreement was concluded, and whose consequences the organizer could not reasonably have avoided or overcome, the organizer is exempt from liability for damages or other sanctions. The same applies if the cancellation of the trip is due to someone engaged by the organizer or another party in an earlier contractual chain. Nuclear reactions, war, warlike events, civil war, revolution, insurrection or actions by authorities or persons who have unlawfully seized power, or destruction as a result of government intervention, strikes, lockouts, blockades, and natural disasters are examples of obstacles beyond the organizer’s control.
