In the Sudersand area there are many businesses that, in symbiosis, operate in a small space to ensure that everyone visiting Fårö has as enjoyable a holiday as possible. The restaurants may host live music performances and the beach can be used for various events. Since Fårö and Sudersand cover a relatively compact area, we business owners must work together to ensure that all visitors, whether staying at Sudersand Resort or other facilities, are disturbed as little as possible. At the same time, we want our guests to know that events do take place at Sudersand from time to time.
Sudersand is generally a quiet place but, as mentioned, there are occasionally events or musical performances held here.
- The beach is a public area and is owned by the Fårö community association, and Sudersand Resort has no authority to prevent events such as weddings on the beach. However, we do everything in our power to ensure that all events cause as little inconvenience as possible for our guests.
- Events, such as beach weddings or functions at nearby restaurants that include music, we try to coordinate so that they play no later than 1:00 a.m.
- Since the beach is public, ALL visitors to the beach (not just guests at Sudersand Resort) must be allowed to pass through the cottage village and the campsites. They may pass on foot or by bicycle, but not by car.
- The playground and the football pitch are also considered public areas, accessible to everyone. The football pitch may also be used for matches, and in those cases you need to take that into account.
- Week 28 every year there is a football school on the pitch during the day, and they have priority access then.
- Sudersand Resort assumes no responsibility for activities or arrangements carried out by our neighboring businesses, such as the restaurant Majkens Kök, Carlssons Café, Sudersannas, Fårö Strandcafé, and others.
- If, as a guest, you are disturbed by any of the companies or other organizers described above, any complaints must be directed to them directly.
Feel free to check our events calendar to see if there’s a nice event taking place during your stay with us.
Since the resort covers a large area with both private and public spaces, we are constantly working to balance the two in a way that is best for everyone at all times. We hope for your understanding in this matter.
With this, as we said, we just want to let you know that things can get a bit lively on Fårö at times, but most of the time this is a really calm and wonderful place to be!
